Now you can send messages for your dear ones and continue chatting right from your browser on your PC. 

Step 5:

You're done! You can now send messages from PC using WhatsApp with Chrome browser.

Getting QR Code is necessary because WhatsApp makes the use of your phone number and SMS verifications instead of user name and password. This version of PC is available for Windows Phone, Blackberry, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S60 mobiles. But this is not applicable for iOS users now. Due to the Apple platform limitations, they are left in cold.
